Loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother

Anna M. Appolloni, age 97, formerly of Beverly, died after courageously battling a brief illness on Thursday, September 2, 2021.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, she moved to Wakefield in 2003. She was the daughter of the late Felipe and Vincenza (Serafini) Perucci.

Anna was raised in Salem and moved to Beverly after marrying her husband, Dominick, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. She embraced her homemaker duties remaining devoted to her husband and caring for her three children who were the center of her world. Anna was an outstanding cook and she loved preparing her Italian specialties for family and friends. These meals were particularly enjoyed during family gatherings that she hosted. Holiday family gatherings were among her favorite times. Anna was a deeply religious woman. Her strong beliefs and faith helped her to keep her positive outlook on life. Her favorite hobbies were sewing and crocheting. Many relatives and friends benefited from her talent, receiving beautiful baby afghans for their newborns. Her gentle ways and contagious smile warmed the hearts of many.

She was the loving wife of the late Dominick Appolloni. She was the devoted mother of Linda DellaMonaca and her husband, Enzo, of Lunenburg; Frank Appolloni and his companion, Patricia Ingraham, of Danvers; and Robert Appolloni of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Michael DellaMonaca and Lisa Norton and the proud great grandmother of Robbie and Kyla Norton and Gregory and Melissa DellaMonaca. Anna was predeceased by her brothers John, Jeano, Gus, Alfred, and Joseph Perucci. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Condolence & Memory Journal

I have such fond and warm memories of young childhood visits to Aunt Ann's home with my own Nona. She was the only one that could get a dress to fit me just right! Aunt Ann was always one of the warmest of people to be around. We are so sorry to learn of Aunt Ann's passing and realize what a loss this is for all of you. Julie
